Every youth deserves peace.
But not every young person is provided with accessible opportunities to take care of their mental, emotional and physical health.
That’s where New Leaf Foundation comes in.
Supporting healthier, more peaceful communities
For over 18 years, New Leaf Foundation supported the mental, emotional, and physical health of nearly 20,000 youth and caregivers in southern Ontario. We offered programs, education, and resources that used mindfulness and yoga to address the causes and impacts of chronic stress on youth and the adults who cared for them. Our aim was to improve youth’s overall well-being and respond to the lack of equal access to wellness-based resources that many young people in equity-deserving communities experience.
Programs
We facilitated multi-session programs in schools, youth justice settings, and in partnership with other youth-serving organizations.
Education
We offered workshops, training, and events to build leadership, explore the impacts of stress, highlight the benefits of mindfulness, and share our best practices.
Resources
We continue to offer a free library of resources that make it easy and accessible for youth to build mindfulness-based activities into their everyday lives.
