Post-pandemic recovery has proved very difficult for many grassroots organizations, and New Leaf Foundation has been no exception. Despite strong efforts, we’ve been unable to meet our fundraising targets over the past year, and it’s become necessary to acknowledge that New Leaf’s operations in their current form are no longer sustainable. At this time, we’re asking for help from our community to raise a minimum of $40,000 over the upcoming month so that we can thoughtfully determine these new pathways.

We’re thrilled to announce the relaunch of our Reaching In, Reaching Out Online Training! This revamped version brings you even more valuable content and resources to deepen your understanding of trauma, anti-oppression practices, and inclusive approaches to offering mindfulness and yoga.

As we approach the close of this transformative year, we are excited to share the incredible strides we’ve taken in rebuilding and reconnecting with our community. Despite the challenges, the past twelve months have been a pivotal phase of growth and renewal for us.

A big thank you to b, halfmoon for their partnership this Giving Tuesday. This year, b, halfmoon is committed to donating 5% of all sales on November 28th to New Leaf Foundation as part of its contribution to our community-giving campaign, Better Together.

We’re excited to relaunch our community-giving campaign, Better Together, and are aiming to raise a much-needed $20,000 to bring our valued programs to schools, youth justice and community settings across the Greater Toronto Area and southern Ontario. If there’s ever a time we needed our community to step up for young people, it’s now.

We’re excited to announce that New Leaf Foundation is a grant recipient of the Government of Canada’s Community Services Recovery Fund. Through the support of this funding, we will be piloting, assessing, and finalizing a hybrid program model that will integrate the resources we developed during the pandemic with our in-person programming model.

As autumn arrives, our team is springing into action to re-establish our school initiatives for another exciting year. We’re kicking off this school year with the goal of growing our programs within TDSB schools and forming a partnership with a new school board.
