Working with Stress Through Mindfulness
This introductory workshop explores the impact of stress on our brains, bodies, and behaviours and shares the positive impact that mindfulness-based practices can have on the stress cycle.
What's this mindfulness thing everyone’s talking about?
New Leaf Foundation’s introductory workshop discusses the impact of stress on the brains, bodies, and behaviours of ourselves and the youth we engage with, and explores the positive impact that mindfulness-based practices can have on the stress cycle.

- Simple, accessible language to promote the usefulness of mindfulness to students and parents when sharing related resources
- Tips for beginning to practice mindfulness
- Access to mindfulness-based resources and recordings for yourself, parents, and students
This workshop is suitable for youth ages 13+, parents, classroom teachers, educational assistants, school social workers, CYCs/CYWs, and school administrators.
