Similar to meditation, mindful colouring invites us to pay attention to the present moment while participating in a creative activity. It encourages us to focus on how we choose and apply colours, drawing our attention to the here and now.
- As you colour, we invite you to let go of thoughts of yesterday or plans for tomorrow
- If your mind wanders – no worries! – gently guide it back by observing your actions in the moment
- There’s no need to judge your colouring – this isn’t about being good or bad at it
Mindful colouring has been shown to reduce stress, improve focus, sleep, and vision and motor skills.
